A quick look at how legal practice is shifting and what firms need to stay competitive.
How modern funding options improve access to justice and support better client outcomes.
Practical ideas to strengthen firm operations and prepare for what’s next.
As the legal profession undergoes one of its biggest shifts in decades, firms are being pushed to rethink how they operate. Changing client expectations, a new generation of practitioners, and pressure to innovate mean the old business models can no longer carry the weight.
In this session, hosted by Leigh McBean, Chief Commercial Officer at JustFund, you’ll hear from a panel of leading practitioners — Daniel Rod, Keith James and Jane Libbis, who are challenging long-held assumptions about what a modern legal business should look like. Together, they’ll unpack how firms can move beyond rigid hierarchies, billable-hour dependence, and outdated processes, and instead embrace models that centre value, trust, client experience and long-term sustainability.
