Speaker – Kindness in Law
With almost two decades of experience in the legal profession, Lara Wentworth began her career as a family lawyer before transitioning out of practice to focus on leadership development within the profession. Now a Director of The Kind Lawyers, she is passionate about reshaping legal culture to be both high-performing and deeply human. Her legal background gives her an insider’s understanding of the pressures, ethical complexities and emotional demands of family law, while her current work focuses on helping the profession evolve beyond outdated norms and adversarial defaults.
Lara is an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and Co-Founder of Coaching Advocates, a global leadership development company working exclusively with lawyers and law firms. Through individual coaching, group programs and firm-wide initiatives, she supports lawyers to strengthen emotional intelligence, communication, resilience and sustainable leadership. She no longer practises law, choosing instead to work alongside the profession in a different way, expanding capacity, challenging unconscious patterns and helping lawyers build careers aligned with their values.
At Disrupting Tradition Conference 2026, Lara brings both her legal experience and her coaching lens to the Kind Law panel. Her work is grounded in integrity, courage and compassion, with a belief that excellence in family law is not just about technical skill, it is about presence, self-awareness and the willingness to lead with intention.

When intelligence becomes artificial, humanity must become more intentional.
In this session, Perpetua (Pepe) Kish, Joe Buckley, Gloria Hawke and Lara Wentworth bring science down to earth and into the practice of law. Far from theory, Quantum Kindness explores how lawyers can notice energy in their work: where it flows, where it becomes blocked, and how it can be redirected with clarity and intention. It offers a grounded, practical framework for practising law in a way that is deliberate, sustainable and entirely human.
Think of it as an operating system upgrade for lawyers who want to work smarter and kinder in the age of AI.
Drawing on diverse professional experience across family law and practice leadership, the panel will share practical tools, real-world insights and techniques that can be immediately applied. This session promises to challenge assumptions, encourage reflection and leave you with tangible strategies to build a more intentional and resilient practice.
You will walk away thinking differently about how you work and how you lead.
